Santa Cruz County offers online applications for evacuee hotel program

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Online applications and renewal requests forms for Santa Cruz County evacuees using the free hotel program are now available.

The program offered through FEMA and the California Department of General Services allows evacuees to apply for a no-cost hotel stay while they are evacuated, but hotel guests are required to check out within 24 hours of lifted evacuation orders.

CZU August Lightning Complex Fire evacuees who have not been placed in a hotel can fill out a first-time application for hotel program assistance here.

Evacuees who have already been placed in a hotel can request a renewal of their seven-day reservation within 24 hours of their reservation's chekc-out date here.

First-time applications should only be submitted once.
